Welp, I saw it. I will need to see it again to give it a fair evaluation. And I'd also like to review the book. It's been a while since I read it. My first impression? A slight let-down. I did have very high expectations, which is something I don't usually have when I go to see a movie. The last time (as far as I can remember) I was really let-down from very high expectations were with the original Star Wars sequels (Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi). Anyways...I'll view the movie again and see if I feel the same way.

I'll be going to see the movie again Wednesday. We'll see what a second viewing can do. :)

Well, it was better with a second viewing. As is expected one picks up more with multiple viewings. I can see why it's not "mainstream". It doesn't provide the mindless drones their fix. It cannot be compared to the popular PKD movies, such as "Blade Runner", "Minority Report", or "Total Recall". It can, however, be compared to "Barjo". Both show the peculiar sides to people in a realistic (non-sci-fi) manner. I'm definately going to get it on dvd.

10th week in the theatre now. Cumulative Gross $5,414,097. Currently only being shown in 62 theatres. Charting 57 (up 2 from last week) on the Box Office Charts.
